Classical piano as kid was fine for a while, but guitar in his teens was even better for Dan. From classical to rock, pop and jazz … there was lots of good stuff out there! Interest naturally turned to more jazz and the big bands when he started playing sax in high school. By university, progressive art rock caught his attention to such a degree that he dropped out of school to move to LA to play bass with a band there. Since the late 70’s, Dan has played sax, guitar and bass in a variety of local bands of all kinds of styles.
